The Seventh Annual South Central Conference on Mesoamerica

Call for Papers 

Abstract Deadline: September 30, 2016

We are pleased to announce the first call for papers for the 2016 Seventh Annual South Central Conference on Mesoamerica to be held at the University of Texas at Tyler from November 4-6. This event is open to scholars and the public who share an interest in the cultures of the Mesoamerican region with emphasis on current research and interpretations in art history, archaeology, ethnography, and history, and others. There is no registration fee to present or attend the conference.

We invite interested persons who wish to present a scholarly paper or poster to submit an abstract by September 30, 2016. The papers are limited to 15 minutes in length in order to add as many participants as possible. If there are more paper submissions than we can allow time for, the committee reserves the right to change an abstract to a poster rather than a paper. The final program will be available at the beginning of October. Please contact us at if you have any questions.
